City of Ember: Finished

My class finished The City of Ember book. We ended up seeing the movie, and we talked about it for awhile. The movie was pretty close to the book, except the parts they changed to make it more exciting. Otherwise, it was very good.

Bad Decisions

Lina was being curious....I don't blame her. If I was in the mayor's office alone, I would scout it out too. I mean if you were in the president's office, and he just left the key of the world on a table, wouldn't you take it?If you were in Lina's position, you would totally take that key off of the table.
Now, Doon wasn't doing the best he could when he went into the boiler room it wasn't the smartest thing. He shouldv'e waited until he knew more about the pipeworks. Or, like until he understood other machines more. Maybe in the story he will slowly explore the tunnels more and he might find another place that controls the power of the city.
I think that Poppy, Lina's little sister, will get older eventually stumble upon the key to helping the city. I don't know what could happen after that, but they might save the city.

Curiosity Hurts

CURIOSITY HURTS!!!!!!!

I remember one time that my mom was really agitated with me and my sister.

We were in the car and she was giving us a lecture on how we're always late or something.

She used a really long word and was.. Just didn't even want to look at us.

I was curious on what the word meant and I waited a few seconds after she stopped yelling.

I asked her what the word meant and she just flew off the handlebars.(or in this case

the steering wheel)" LOOK IT UP!"

. I know that I shouldn't have

asked her but it still hurt. It made me feel kind of stupid, and like I never knew

what anyone was ever talking about. I felt bad after I did ask her what it meant,

yet I was still curious about what the word meant. So, when we got home and

my mom was calm and we were all okay, and there were no hard feelings, I

asked her again. She didn't tell me, but she did tell me to look it up. I

never did look it up, but I don't wonder what that word was anymore. ;p
