What could happen if all of the lights turned off?
If all of the lights turned off I think that Lina would hate her job as being a messenger. She would still have to deliver messages, otherwise the people won't know what is going on.
What do I think of the characters so far?
I love all of the characters. Except for the mayor, I am just very suspicious of him. I like Doon because he is very into himself, and he doesn't go out of his way to be mean. I like Lina because she is very energetic, healthy,and she seems like a very happy person.
What do you think it is like to live in the City of Ember?
I think that it would be hard to live in The City of Ember. With never knowing when the lights will go off, or never really knowing what to do when they do go off.
Conclusion:
By answering the questions, I have concluded that Lina must have a very good life with her grandmother, because she is very happy to live in that kind of place. I can see why Doon is how he is, living in that kind of city, knowing that someone could save the city yet no one does anything about it.

Tell me what I could do better.
I think that Lina will stop liking her job so much. after what had happened on the roof and all of those remarks she got. Someone may not want to have her be their messanger because they think that she isn't sacred enough to actually hold the message. Some people might play tricks on her by giving her a fake address. Maybe she will start hanging out Doon more because he "didn't" see what happened. Or, maybe her life will just continue on and no one will have thought that it was a big deal.
As for Doon, I think that he will become friends with Lina, and find the power box. But I don't think that he will actually tell her about the box. He might think that she doesn't care for it, or she will laugh at him like she did in there fourth year of school when he fell off of the pole. Or, maybe he will tell because he knows her and he knows how curious she is. How much of a big help she can be by getting information from being a messenger.
If Lina does take important information from someones message to find out about the lights and power box, she will get caught. Doon may rescue her some how through the pipes. Then they will gather the rest of the town and follow the map inside of the box, or whatever is in there to get to where even two fully charged lightbulbs are bright. The mayor may be so stubborn that he just stays in the city and acts like evrything is fine. And just wait for them to come back or just live the rest of his life knowing that he could have found out where the sun is, or WHAT it is.
Or maybe none of that will happen and they will just bring the entire town to somewhere safe. WITHOUT having to fight off the mayor.

Why do I think the mayor looks suspicious?
I think that the mayor looks suspicious because there just isn't something right about him. I don't know what it is, I just don't think that he is a good character. Maybe the mayor does know something on how to save the city, and he's just not doing anything so that he doesn't freak out anyone. Even though people would be relieved if they found out there was a way to help the city. I don't think that the mayor is as suspicious as he just doesn't know what to do
